(1st day of the 1st pay period after 30 days) Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services psychiatric residential treatment program provides a rich, evolving continuum of 24-hour, out-of-home residential services for children and adolescents living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. A team of caring, talented staff is dedicated to helping each individual achieve social, emotional, behavioral and educational goals, and return home to their local communities. Our residential programs provide each child, and their families, with the skills and resources needed to reach the greatest level of personal happiness and success. Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) serves children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community. #sponsored

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services required discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling.

EXPERIENCE

Two years supervisory experience required. Two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavioral disorders. Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained. Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
