We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic property management team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring efficient management, tenant satisfaction, and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a customer-focused approach, and a solid understanding of property management practices. Duties Assist in managing property leasing activities, including conducting property tours, processing applications, and coordinating lease agreements to maximize occupancy rates. Support rent collection processes by monitoring payments, following up on delinquencies, and maintaining accurate financial records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. Handle tenant inquiries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining positive relationships through effective communication and conflict management strategies. Coordinate property maintenance requests by liaising with vendors and facilities management teams to ensure timely repairs and upkeep. Maintain comprehensive records related to legal administrative tasks, including lease contracts, notices, and compliance documentation in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and Landlord-tenant law. Assist in preparing reports on occupancy rates, rent roll, and other operational metrics to inform decision-making. Support compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations and Section 8 programs by ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to program requirements. Conduct data entry, filing, and administrative tasks such as managing contracts, legal documents, and correspondence efficiently. Engage in customer service activities by addressing tenant needs professionally via phone etiquette and fostering positive relationships that promote retention. Skills Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in property leasing, facilities management, and tenant relations. Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-tenant law, contracts, and legal administrative procedures. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, filing systems, and maintaining accurate records. Effective conflict management abilities combined with negotiation skills to resolve tenant issues amicably while upholding company policies. Strong customer service orientation complemented by professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Knowledge of property maintenance processes, facilities management practices, and basic understanding of CMMS systems will enhance performance. Ability to manage office tasks such as filing, document preparation, and administrative support seamlessly within a fast-paced environment. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving coupled with strong communication skills will contribute significantly to success in this role.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
