Property Manager Position Summary The Property Management Assistant supports the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the building, including tenant communication, property showings, and administrative tasks. This role does not require a real estate license, as duties are limited to administrative and support functions and do not include lease negotiation, execution, or activities requiring licensure. Key Responsibilities Assist the Property Manager with daily building and property operations Serve as a point of contact for tenant inquiries, requests, and concerns Communicate updates, notices, and maintenance schedules to tenants Conduct property tours/showings for prospective tenants (without negotiating lease terms) Coordinate and schedule maintenance requests and vendor appointments Maintain accurate tenant records, files, and correspondence Assist with rent collection tracking and basic bookkeeping support Prepare and distribute notices (e.g., maintenance, building policy updates) Support move-in/move-out coordination (inspections, checklists) Perform general administrative duties: filing, data entry, answering calls/emails Assist in maintaining compliance with building policies and procedures Report property issues or tenant concerns to the Property Manager promptly Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree a plus Prior experience in property management, customer service, or administrative support preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment No real estate license required — this role does not involve leasing negotiations, contract execution, or activities that legally require licensure Work Environment Mostly remote May require walking the property, including stairs Some flexibility for occasional evening/weekend showings
