Agency Overview Community Living Alternatives, Inc. is a private, non-profit that has been providing services to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities for over forty-five years in the Denver metro area. Our mission is to enhance the life of each person with intellectual/developmental disabilities towards fulfillment of their life goals through choice and support in homes, employment and community activities. Job Overview We are looking for an energetic and compassionate Residential Program Director to oversee and guide the day-to-day operations of our residential program. This essential position includes supervising and supporting staff, ensuring exceptional service delivery, coordinating admissions for individuals seeking services, recruiting and supporting host home providers, and maintaining full compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactive leadership, a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities, and a strong commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for everyone involved. Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to residential department staff, cultivating a collaborative team culture dedicated to delivering high-quality services in host homes across the Denver metro area.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Partner with the nursing team and residential staff to ensure medical orders are properly carried out and medication administration records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee fiscal and administrative processes, including reviewing and approving attendance records for Medicaid billing, authorizing financial vouchers and ABLE account transactions, and supporting audits of personal needs funds.
  • Recruit and onboard new host home providers.
  • Respond to RFPs and coordinate efforts to admit individuals seeking residential services.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with families and community partners to promote transparency and collaboration.
  • Work closely with agency leadership and marketing teams to advance organizational growth, strengthen partnerships, and support community outreach efforts.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field plus two years of experience working with people who have intellectual/developmental disabilities or a minimum of five years of experience in residential services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams effectively Familiarity with home and community-based services waiver compliance standards Excellent organizational skills with experience in budgeting, financial management, and operational oversight Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid Colorado driver's license, reliable vehicle and auto insurance Working knowledge of Word and Excel Knowledge of Therap preferred Compassionate approach to working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities Join our team as a Residential Program Manager and guide compassionate professionals committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve.
