Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Property Manager in the multifamily housing sector! You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations, managing tenant relations, and assisting with property maintenance coordination. Responsibilities Assist the Property Manager with daily property operations, including leasing, resident relations, and administrative tasks Support lease administration processes, including data entry into Yardi or OneSite property management systems and preparing lease agreements Coordinate property showings, upselling available units to prospective tenants while emphasizing community benefits Ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, Fair Housing laws, and other relevant regulations Handle tenant inquiries professionally via phone and in person, providing excellent customer service and conflict resolution when needed Assist with rent collection, processing payments accurately, and managing delinquency follow-ups Support property maintenance coordination by communicating work orders and tracking service requests through CMMS or Facilities Management systems Maintain organized filing of legal documents, contracts, and resident records in accordance with legal administrative standards Participate in lease renewals, tenant retention efforts, and community engagement activities to foster positive relationships Experience Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly desirable Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software systems Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 program requirements Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management effectively Experience in leasing activities including upselling units and negotiating lease terms Office experience involving data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and contract management Understanding of facilities management principles and basic property maintenance procedures Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Join us to make a meaningful impact in residents' lives while advancing your career in property management!
