Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a My Garage Self Storage Property Manager, where you will lead the day-to-day operations of our self-storage facility. This energetic role involves overseeing property maintenance, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing leasing activities, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Your proactive approach will help maximize occupancy, foster positive tenant relationships, and uphold the highest standards of property management. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, renewals, and tenant relations to ensure high occupancy rates. Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs or upgrades using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone, email, or in person, providing exceptional customer service and upselling storage solutions. Administer leasing agreements, contracts, and legal documentation while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws. Maintain accurate data entry and filing systems for tenant records, lease agreements, and financial transactions using Yardi or OneSite property management software. Resolve conflicts effectively through negotiation and conflict management skills while adhering to legal administrative procedures. Promote additional services such as Section 8 housing programs or other government-assisted initiatives when appropriate. Qualifications Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and related compliance standards. Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software; experience with CMMS systems is a plus. Strong customer service skills combined with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities. Knowledge of legal contracts, lease negotiations, and facilities management best practices. Office experience including data entry, filing, and administrative tasks to support daily operations effectively. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Valid experience in sales or upselling storage units to maximize revenue opportunities.
