Job Description

The Role The Assistant Community Director is the operational engine of the property. You work alongside the Community Director to keep leasing moving, residents happy, collections current, and the office running without a hitch. This role touches nearly every function on-site — meaning no two days are the same, and the right person for it is someone who thrives on variety, takes ownership without being told to, and treats follow-through as non-negotiable. What You'll Own Leasing Drive traffic to lease, qualify prospects, conduct tours, and move applicants efficiently through the process. Maintain accurate availability and follow up with urgency. Resident Relations Be a visible, approachable presence for residents. Handle concerns promptly and professionally, and know when to escalate. Collections & Delinquency Manage the delinquency list daily. Send notices, make calls, coordinate with the Community Director on eviction timelines, and document everything. Move-Ins, Move-Outs & Renewals Execute a smooth move-in experience, process move-out inspections and final account statements accurately, and work the renewal pipeline proactively. Maintenance Coordination Serve as the bridge between residents and the maintenance team — log work orders, track completion, and close the loop with residents. Administrative & Office Operations Keep the office organized and the paper trail clean. Manage lease files, correspondence, vendor communications, and accounts payable processing. Reporting Prepare accurate weekly and monthly reports on occupancy, traffic, collections, and leasing activity — on time, every time. What We're Looking For 1-3 years of property management experience, preferably in a leasing or assistant manager role Familiarity with a property management platform (ResMan experience is a plus) Strong organizational skills — you manage multiple priorities without dropping balls Clear communicator, in writing and in person Comfortable having direct conversations about rent, notices, and deadlines Reliable, detail-oriented, and accountable Must be bilingual
