Job Description

Help keep Odessa safe and growing. In this role, you'll support Building Inspections by enforcing codes, overseeing inspections, and assisting with daily division operations.
What You'll Do:
  • Review plans and ensure code compliance
  • Supervise building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspections
  • Support inspectors and coordinate field activities
  • Oversee permit review and issuance
  • Advise contractors and represent the division as needed
What You Bring:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years in construction or code administration (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and plan review
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License
