Assistant Property Manager - Vacation Rentals AvantStay is looking for an Assistant Property Manager to support our vacation rental operations in the Port Aransas market. This is a hands-on, in-market role for someone who enjoys hospitality, property operations, guest service, and keeping homes running at a high standard. You will help manage the day-to-day operations of AvantStay homes in the area, including property inspections, supply and linen inventory, vendor coordination, guest and homeowner issue resolution, and support for housekeeping and routine maintenance. This role requires regular travel between properties, strong follow-through, and the ability to jump in when something needs to get done. This is a great fit for someone with hospitality, vacation rental, property management, real estate, or customer-facing operations experience who wants to grow with a fast-moving travel and hospitality company. What you'll do Support daily operations across AvantStay properties in the Port Aransas area Conduct property inspections to ensure homes meet AvantStay standards Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, vendors, and local team members to resolve issues quickly Track and maintain inventory levels for linens, consumables, and guest-ready supplies Respond to guest and homeowner concerns through email, phone, text, Slack, and internal tickets Help ensure issues are resolved within the expected time frame and to a high-quality standard Serve as a reliable local point of contact for homeowners and support owner satisfaction Assist with training, coaching, and supporting field operations team members Step in as market lead when needed in the absence of the local manager Travel regularly between properties in the market Participate in rotating after-hours on-call coverage for market suppor What we're looking for 2+ years of hospitality, vacation rental, property management, real estate, or customer-facing operations experience Strong communication skills and a high sense of ownership Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment Comfort using basic tools like Microsoft Office, email, Slack, and internal systems Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require Valid driver's license, active car insurance, and reliable transportation Must reside in or near the Port Aransas area Ability to spend much of the day standing, walking, driving, inspecting homes, and occasionally lifting more than 25 lbs.
