Our team consists of over 42 dedicated commercial real estate professionals, including 34 specialized agents covering diverse areas such as land, office, industrial, retail, medical, multi-family, investment sales and leasing, and property management.
Overview:
Our company is currently looking for a professional individual to fill the role of a Property Management Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will work directly with the accounting team and manage bookkeeping for assigned properties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and accurately code accounts payable for assigned properties and request approval from property manager for all invoices.
  • Process and review weekly check runs for assigned properties to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain vendor W9 information and process year end 1099s.
  • Maintain Certificates of Insurance for tenants and vendors.
  • Record and deposit tenant payments daily and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate past due accounts receivable with property managers and tenants.
  • Accurately post charges to tenant ledgers.
  • Audit and email monthly tenant statements.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor daily cash balances and cash flows.
  • Review and analyze reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Prepares monthly owner reports and financial statements at month end for each property assigned.
  • Stay in constant communication about property financial status with Property Managers, Property Owners, and Executives.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual NNN reconciliations and property tax assessments.
Qualifications/
Skills:
  • Previous experience in property management or real estate a plus but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in bookkeeping required
  • Experience with property management accounting software, Yardi Voyager preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word and SharePoint
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate across digital platforms and in-person
  • Effective time management, including prioritization of time sensitive items and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support relationships with a broad range of customers, employees, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong integrity in all business dealings
Physical Requirements:
  • This position primarily consists of working indoors in an office environment.
In the course of the employee's duties, he/she may travel to customer sites to perform essential job duties.
