Job Description

Leasing Manager Monroe Properties is seeking a highly motivated, sales-driven Leasing Manager to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and has a passion for sales and customer service. As a Leasing Manager, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and play a critical role in driving occupancy, maximizing revenue, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Success in this role is measured by your ability to generate leads, convert prospects into residents, and foster positive resident relationships.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Proven success in sales, leasing, hospitality, customer service, or a related field. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to confidently overcome objections and close sales. Highly organized with strong follow-up and lead management abilities. Knowledge of the Richmond rental market preferred. Property management experience preferred but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/property management software. Reliable transportation required.
Responsibilities & Core Functions:
Generate and convert leasing leads through phone calls, emails, online inquiries, referrals, and property tours. Conduct professional apartment tours and effectively communicate community features and benefits. Follow up with prospects and applicants to maximize lease conversion ratios. Execute leases, renewals, and resident retention initiatives. Assist with marketing campaigns, social media efforts, outreach, and resident referral programs. Maintain strong resident relationships and provide exceptional customer service. Respond promptly to prospect and resident inquiries. Monitor market conditions, competitor pricing, and occupancy trends. Assist with rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and basic administrative tasks. Conduct routine inspections of common areas and vacant units to ensure presentation standards are maintained. Ensure compliance with all Fair Housing laws and company policies. Participate in weekend leasing coverage as needed. Other duties as assigned.
