As a Bar Manager, you will serve as Manager on Duty, guiding daily operations while supporting bartenders and servers to deliver outstanding service. You will work closely with the General Manager to uphold Silver Branch standards and ensure every shift reflects our commitment to Gemütlichkeit—a sense of warmth, camaraderie, and belonging. What You'll Do Lead the Guest Experience Create an atmosphere that is welcoming, engaging, and memorable for every guest. Set the standard for hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence. Serve as a visible and approachable leader on the floor. Resolve guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment. Build relationships with regular guests while fostering new connections within the community. Develop and Inspire the Team Mentor and motivate bartenders and servers to reach their full potential. Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing training focused on hospitality, beer knowledge, salesmanship, and service standards. Provide real-time feedback and support during service. Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture. Collaborate with Shift Leaders and the General Manager to continuously improve team performance. Drive Operational Excellence Ensure all company systems, policies, and procedures are consistently executed. Manage floor operations efficiently while maintaining a calm and organized environment. Oversee cash handling, sales reporting, and POS management. Identify opportunities to increase sales, reduce waste, and improve profitability. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary taproom environment at all times. What We're Looking For Hospitality Leadership Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. Two or more years of restaurant, brewery, taproom, or hospitality experience with leadership, training, or supervisory responsibilities. Strong leadership presence with the ability to earn trust, inspire others, and hold team members accountable. Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence. Ability to remain composed and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Beer Knowledge & Professional Development Enthusiasm for craft beer and educating guests and staff. Certified Beer Server (Cicerone®) certification preferred. If not already certified, willingness to obtain Certified Beer Server certification within 90 days of hire. Interest in continuing beer education and pursuing additional certifications, including Certified Cicerone®. Technical & Organizational Skills Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and related hospitality technology. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to prioritize, adapt quickly, and make sound decisions during busy service periods. Schedule & Availability Full-time position averaging 36-40 hours per week. Typically includes up to five manager on duty shift weekly. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to navigate all areas of the taproom safely and efficiently. Frequently bend, reach, lift, carry, squat, and perform other physical tasks associated with restaurant operations. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance when necessary. Why Silver Branch?
