Assistant Property Manager SustainableHR Brookfield, WI Job Details Full-time $24 - $27 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Driver's License Community relationship building Full Job Description About the Opportunity A well-established housing and property management organization is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of a residential community. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with residents, managing administrative processes, supporting leasing efforts, and contributing to a positive living environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in resident relations, occupancy management, compliance, rent collection, and overall community operations while partnering closely with site leadership. Compensation $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day operations of a residential housing community. Assist with leasing activities, including conducting tours, processing applications, preparing lease documentation, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs. Maintain resident files and ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance documentation. Assist with rent collection, payment processing, banking activities, and financial reporting. Monitor occupancy levels and support marketing initiatives to attract prospective residents. Respond to resident inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution. Conduct inspections of vacant units, common areas, and community grounds to ensure quality standards are maintained. Assist with property reporting, administrative functions, and data management. Support compliance with housing regulations, fair housing requirements, and company policies. Help oversee resident retention initiatives and community engagement activities. Maintain a strong focus on customer service and resident satisfaction. Serve as a point of contact during leadership absences. Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with workplace and community safety standards. Collaborate with maintenance and operational teams to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming community environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2+ years of residential property management, community management, housing administration, or related experience preferred. Experience working with affordable housing programs, housing compliance, or regulated housing environments is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with rent collection, recordkeeping, and administrative reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members. Experience with property management software is a plus. Property management certifications are a plus.
