Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to lead day-to-day operations at one of Madison's premier multifamily communities. This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role for a property professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes genuine ownership of their community's performance. Reporting directly to company leadership, the Community Manager will be responsible for driving occupancy, building a strong resident experience, managing a site team, and maintaining the operational and financial health of the property.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day property operations including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations Drive and maintain strong occupancy through active leasing oversight and traffic follow-up Supervise, train, and develop on-site team members Manage resident lifecycle from application through renewal and move-out Enforce lease compliance and handle resident issues and escalations professionally Prepare and manage property budgets; monitor financial performance against plan Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure timely unit turns and work order completion Maintain accurate records in property management software Uphold property presentation and curb appeal standards
Requirements:
3+ years of student housing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role Proven track record of achieving and maintaining high occupancy Strong financial acumen; comfortable with budgets, variance reporting, and P&L oversight Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, Entrata, AppFolio, or similar) Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Wisconsin real estate license a plus, but not required
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
