Starting at $77,500 annually, commensurate with experience, plus annual performance bonus potential. McGrath Property Group is seeking an experienced Senior Property Manager to join our growing team and oversee the day-to-day operations and overall performance of our Downtown Madison portfolio. This position will be responsible for property operations, leasing, resident relations, and maintaining a high level of performance across the assigned portfolio. The Senior Property Manager will also serve as a resource and mentor to other Property Managers, assist company leadership with operational initiatives and problem-solving, and help establish and maintain consistent standards and procedures across the company. The ideal candidate is an experienced property management professional who is highly organized, an effective communicator, confident handling challenging situations, and capable of balancing day-to-day responsibilities with broader operational priorities. About McGrath Property Group McGrath Property Group is a small, growing company with 1,300+ apartments across the Madison and Fitchburg area. We oversee all phases of the multifamily process, from development and construction through property management. Our team takes pride in going above and beyond for our residents through responsive communication, compassion, and exceptional customer service. The Senior Property Manager will join a team of 4 other Property Managers and a total staff of 17 full-time employees. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility as the company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the Downtown Madison portfolio. Manage resident relations, including escalated concerns, lease violations, notices, and sensitive resident matters. Oversee leasing activities, including showings, applications, renewals, occupancy, and lease administration. Coordinate property operations, including move-ins, move-outs, turnovers, inspections, maintenance, and property appearance. Monitor rent collections, maintain accurate records, and support overall property financial performance. Manage property marketing, monitor market conditions and competitors, and recommend rental rates and leasing strategies. Serve as a resource and mentor to Property Managers and team members while helping maintain consistent company standards and procedures. Partner with company leadership on operational issues, problem-solving, special projects, and company-wide initiatives. Strong communication, customer service, sales, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize competing responsibilities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with property management software; AppFolio experience is a plus , along with Google Workspace and other relevant technology. Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information and remain calm and professional in difficult or escalated situations. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and flexibility to work some weekends. Bachelor's degree required.
