Job Description

Vice President / General Manager is a multi-dimensional position, reporting to the NDC President, responsible for leading a metal parts manufacturing business, directing overall site operations, P&L financial performance, and company growth strategies. The successful candidate will be a visible, engaged leader who builds trust through integrity, professionalism, accountability, and collaboration. This individual must be equally comfortable leading through operational challenges, developing people, making difficult decisions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Set long-term business goals, align production with commercial objectives, build and develop a high-performing leadership team while overseeing multiple departments.
Financial & P&L Management:
Own the operational budget, manage capital expenditures (CapEx), and drive unit profitability.
Operational Excellence:
Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to maximize throughput, optimize output, and minimize waste.
Compliance & Safety:
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols (OSHA) and industry-specific regulations (such as EPA, ITAR, and ISO standards).
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Strategically lead sales, supply chain, human resources, and engineering teams to meet delivery targets.

Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, HR, and Finance Qualifications:
15+ years progressive manufacturing leadership Multi-department leadership Experience in metal parts manufacturing Engineering or Business undergraduate degree; MBA a plus A successful track record in leading and managing business entities, including functional leadership and P&L responsibility Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on strategic initiatives Ability to function in a small business environment. Ability to manage budgets, set goals, and lead teams to achieve organizational objectives.
