Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential facility dedicated to supporting individuals and families. This vital role combines leadership, crisis intervention, and case management to ensure a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment. The House Manager will coordinate staff, manage household activities, and serve as a primary point of contact for residents, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve while maintaining a well-functioning household. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate household staff and support workers, ensuring smooth daily operations. Provide crisis intervention as needed, responding promptly to emergencies or behavioral issues with calmness and effective problem-solving. Oversee activities, ensuring safety, engagement, and developmentally appropriate support for residents in the household. Maintain security protocols to safeguard residents and staff, including monitoring access points and conducting regular safety checks. Manage conflict management strategies within the household, mediating disputes with clear communication and empathy. Conduct intake assessments for new residents or clients, gathering relevant information to develop personalized care plans. Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and data collection related to household activities, resident progress, medication administration, and incident reports. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with health standards. Facilitate case management activities by coordinating services such as home & community care resources and social work interventions to support resident well-being. Skills Proven supervising experience in residential or community settings with strong leadership capabilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, emergency responders, and external agencies. Crisis intervention expertise combined with conflict management skills to handle challenging situations confidently. Familiarity with medication administration procedures and health & safety standards such as first aid certification. Ability to manage data entry tasks accurately while maintaining organized filing systems for records.
