GURDON HOUSING AUTHORITY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Gurdon Housing Authority is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to serve as Executive Director. This job would require 20-25 hours per week. The successful applicant must be a current resident of Gurdon, Arkansas. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall administration and day-to-day operations of the Gurdon Housing Authority, including: Working closely with the Board of Commissioners to implement policies, goals, and objectives. Ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Overseeing property management, maintenance, resident services, and the overall condition of the Housing Authority. Managing budgets, expenditures, rent collection, purchasing, and financial reporting. Supervising Housing Authority employees and contractors. Maintaining accurate records and completing required HUD reports and submissions. Coordinating HUD inspections, audits, reviews, and other regulatory requirements. Addressing resident concerns and maintaining positive relationships with residents and the community. Working with HUD, local officials, vendors, contractors, and community organizations. Ensuring the Authority provides safe, decent, and affordable housing to its residents.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills are required. Experience in housing administration, property management, government, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of HUD and public housing programs is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be dependable, professional, able to work independently, and committed to serving the residents of the Gurdon community.
Salary:
Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
