Job Description

Position Summary The ISOC Education Programs Director provides strategic, centralized leadership, oversight, and development for the organization's youth educational initiatives, including the flagship ISOC Hifdh program, Iqra Institute, Insight Academy Sunday School, and MYG/Jr. MYG. This role is responsible for ensuring educational excellence, operational effectiveness, Islamic character development, and alignment with the organization's mission and values. This position is complementary to the Religious Director position. The Youth Education Programs Director supervises instructional leaders and program staff, develops systems and standards for program quality, and works collaboratively with administration, families, teachers, and community stakeholders to cultivate impactful and spiritually enriching learning environments. Core Areas of Oversight Flagship ISOC Hifdh Program Iqra Institute Insight Academy Sunday School MYG (Muslim Youth Group), Jr. MYG, and Youth Development Initiatives Educational Expansion and Innovation Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Strategy Provide overall leadership and direction for all educational and youth programs. Develop and implement a long-term vision for Quranic education, Islamic studies, and youth engagement at ISOC. Establish measurable goals, standards, and systems to ensure program excellence and consistency. Establish feedback and quality control measures to support teacher growth and maintain excellent education quality Ensure programs align with the organization's mission, values, educational philosophy, and Islamic identity. Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements based on outcomes, OCM President feedback, and organizational priorities. Lead strategic planning for growth, enrollment, staffing, curriculum development, financial sustainability, and community impact. Flagship Hifdh Program Oversight Oversee Lead Hifdh Teacher and overall quality of the Hifdh program. Ensure strong standards in Quran memorization, Tajweed, revision systems, discipline, and student development. Establish systems for student accountability, assessment, retention, and advancement. Work with Lead Hifdh teacher to support curriculum development, instructional consistency, and teacher coaching within the Hifdh department. Monitor student progress benchmarks and intervention plans. Assist with student placement evaluations and advancement decisions. Develop pathways within and between programs that cultivate excellence in memorization, Islamic character, and long-term Quran retention. Iqra Institute Oversight Oversee Iqra Institute to ensure effective Quran literacy, fluency, Tajweed, and student engagement. Develop structured pathways for beginner, intermediate, and advanced Quran learners; train staff. Ensure instructional consistency and educational quality across Quran classes. Support teachers with curriculum resources, training, and classroom management strategies. Monitor student progress, attendance, and parent communication systems. Create accessible Quran learning opportunities for students not enrolled in the Hifdh track. Create and manage Iqra to Hifdh program pathways and train all relevant staff Insight Academy Sunday School Oversight Oversee Sunday School vision, curriculum, and school culture. Ensure age-appropriate and engaging Islamic studies instruction. Work with Principal to ensure high-quality instruction Support Principal with educational resources. Give Khatiras to students, coordinate schedules with Principal and Admin Assistant Design and teach classes/khatiras for older youth, coordinate with Principal and Admin Assistant Educational Expansion & Innovation Lead the expansion of educational offerings to meet the evolving needs of children, youth, and families. Develop and launch after-school educational programming for weekday afternoons. Create engaging in-person and online educational classes, workshops, and enrichment opportunities; make ISOC a hub for high-quality, accessible, relevant Islamic education. Design programs that are relevant, accessible, and beneficial for today's youth while remaining rooted in Islamic values. Identify community educational needs and develop new initiatives in response to those needs. Find, train, and retain high quality staff to teach classes Explore innovative instructional models, hybrid learning opportunities, and strategic partnerships. Teach at least one afterschool class Digital Education & Community Access Create and maintain a centralized education landing page within ISOC's website. Oversee organization of all educational offerings, schedules, registration information, program descriptions, and resources under one unified landing page within ISOC's website Work collaboratively with administration and communications teams to ensure accurate and professional online representation of educational programs. Improve accessibility and visibility of programs so families can easily understand available pathways, offerings, and opportunities. Support digital communication strategies related to education programs, enrollment, and community engagement; select one platform for all education programs (for example, Class Dojo) MYG (Muslim Youth Group) and Jr. MYG Oversight Oversee MYG/Jr. MYG programming and youth engagement initiatives. Develop programs that foster leadership, Islamic identity, mentorship, community service, and belonging. Create safe, welcoming, and spiritually beneficial environments for youth. Collaborate with volunteers, mentors, speakers, and community leaders to enhance youth programming. Support planning and execution of events, retreats, workshops, competitions, and service opportunities. Build systems that encourage long-term youth engagement and leadership development. Build relevant pathways programs Staff Supervision & Development Supervise educational staff, instructional leads, teachers, coordinators, and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings, evaluations, coaching, and professional development. Recruit, onboard, and train educational staff and volunteers. Foster a collaborative, mission-driven, and growth-oriented team culture. Provide mentorship and accountability to instructional leaders and staff. Operations & Administration Ensure maintenance of accurate records, reports, assessments, and program documentation. Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and educational material planning. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, child safety standards, and operational procedures. Qualifications Strong Islamic knowledge and commitment to Islamic values and character. Excellent time management skills and high-level efficiency Bachelor's degree and advanced Islamic studies and/or education background required. Experience leading educational, Quranic, youth, or community programs. Demonstrated leadership and team management experience. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience supervising staff, volunteers, and/or instructional teams. Ability to build systems, manage multiple programs, and lead strategically. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Experience in Quran education, Hifdh programs, youth development, and/or Islamic schooling.
