Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled Millwork Wood Finisher to join our team! This role focuses on restoring and finishing high-end restaurant booths, seating, and custom wood furniture. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, experience with finishing techniques, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and masking prior to finishing Apply finishes such as pre-catalyzed lacquer, conversion varnish, stains, and sealers Utilize spray equipment as well as hand application methods (brushing, wiping) Mix and match custom stain colors based on project specifications Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and defects Maintain spray booths, tools, and work areas in clean and safe condition Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines Follow all safety procedures and properly handle materials per SDS guidelines

Qualifications:

Previous experience in wood finishing, millwork, cabinetry, or furniture restoration preferred Experience with spray guns and finishing materials required Ability to read and interpret work orders and finishing specs Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Basic knowledge of color matching and stain mixing Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift: Up to 70 lbs (rarely) 21-50 lbs (occasionally) Up to 20 lbs (frequently) Must be comfortable standing, bending, and working in a production/shop environment Two-person lift required for heavier items

Work Environment:

Manufacturing/shop setting working with wood products and restaurant furniture Exposure to wood dust, fumes, and finishing chemicals PPE required (respirator, gloves, eye protection) Moderate to high noise levels depending on equipment Why Join Us?
