Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Knowledgeable of the IPE literature. Able to design didactic, experiential and clinical education programming. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to address a diverse population. Ability to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, and students. Ability to write technical and non-technical reports in clear language that can be understood by all. Strong academic skills. Excellent computer skills in order to set up document formats in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other software program required by this position. Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications Education:
Terminal degree in a graduate level health professional.
Experience:
7 years experience in a related field. In addition, previous experience in an academic health center setting working in a clinician team.
Preferred Qualifications Essential Job Duties Key Responsibilities Program Development:
Assist the AVP of CETL in the development and implementation of comprehensive IPE experience. Work with college Deans and designated college IPE Liaisons and/or team regarding development and implementation of IPE programming. Coordinate and meet with IPE working groups as needed. Promote faculty participation in the development of IPE activities. Assist with the development of elective IPE experiences. Serve as Co-chair of university-level IPE committees. Establish agreements with Deans and College-level leadership on programming and implementation decisions. Participate in other committees as needed.
Key Responsibilities Program Delivery:
Serve as the primary course director for IPE-based courses and experiences. Plan, design, and coordinate faculty training for IPE activities. Represent the IPE program for WesternU at community outreach and service events.
Key Responsibilities IPE Operations:
Assist with personnel recruitment, development and implementation for positions necessary within the IPE program. Consults and plan budget for the IPE department in consultation with CETL Operations Manager and AVP of CETL. Write and edit various reports related to the IPE program. Any other duties necessary to establish, maintain and promote the IPE experience at WesternU.
Key Responsibilities Analysis and Research:
Collaborate with Senior Research Analyst and AVP of CETL regarding planning and implementation of IPE evaluation activities. Conduct research on interprofessional health education. Submit and present papers/articles on IPE activities and results to national conferences/referred journals (as applicable). Assist with grant research and writing for IPE proposals. Key Responsibilities Complete any other related activities as assigned by the AVP of CETL.
