Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Governing Board Meeting Clerk to provide on-site support for governing board sessions in California. This contract position will partner closely with senior leadership and legal counsel to help meetings run in a compliant, organized, and thorough manner. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of California public meeting requirements and can manage documentation, procedure, and administrative coordination with accuracy and discretion. There are two meetings where our client needs attendance 9/8 and 9/16 if you are available to lend your support please send your resume TODAY! Candidates with experience conducting governing board or city council meetings are strongly encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities:
  • Attend two scheduled governing board meetings and provide direct clerical and administrative support throughout each session.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel and executive leadership to maintain structure, timing, and procedural order during public meetings.
  • Prepare meeting materials in advance, including agendas, supporting documents, and related administrative records.
  • Record key actions, discussions, and decisions with precision to produce clear and complete meeting minutes and notes.
  • Help ensure meeting activities align with applicable open meeting laws, records requirements, and established board procedures.
  • Support public meeting logistics by organizing documentation, tracking agenda flow, and responding to procedural needs as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate official records from each meeting and assist with post-meeting documentation and follow-up tasks.
