Housing Occupancy Associate Seymour Housing Authority - 3.5 Seymour, CT Job Details Part-time $21 - $23 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications Income verification Customer communication Microsoft Excel Fair Housing Act Property management tools Microsoft Outlook Driver's License Associate's degree Property management Full Job Description Part-Time Housing Occupancy Associate Seymour Housing Authority | Seymour, CT The Seymour Housing Authority is seeking an experienced Housing Occupancy Associate to manage applicant intake, leasing, occupancy compliance, resident recertifications, and resident relations for our affordable housing programs. Key Responsibilities Process housing applications and maintain waiting lists Conduct applicant eligibility, income, and background verifications Coordinate leasing activities, move-ins, and lease signings Complete annual and interim recertifications Calculate rents and prepare occupancy documentation Maintain resident and applicant records Assist with rent collection, security deposits, and lease enforcement Provide excellent customer service to residents and applicants Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in Public Housing, Section 8, affordable housing, or property management administration Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and HUD policies Experience with income verification, recertifications, and compliance Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher) and housing management software, including PHA-Web or similar housing databases Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills Valid Connecticut driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in a related field Experience with residential property management The Seymour Housing Authority is an equal opportunity employer committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
