Job Description

JOB The City of North Miami is seeking an Assistant City Manager. The Assistant City Manager serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and assists in the overall administration and management of City government. The position provides executive-level oversight, operational leadership, policy support, and strategic coordination across assigned departments and initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring significant executive-level leadership experience in local government, including service as an Assistant City Manager or in a similarly broad municipal executive role. They will possess strong operational, project management, financial, and organizational management skills, along with excellent communication abilities, political acumen, and professionalism. The successful candidate will demonstrate a visible, hands-on leadership style, the ability to navigate complex issues in a solutions-oriented and apolitical manner, and a proven track record of fostering collaboration and accountability. Experience with municipal water and sewer operations, as well as prior service in roles such as Public Works Director, Finance Director, Parks Director, or Community Development Director, will be viewed favorably.
