Director of Youth Programming Archaeological Research Institute (ARI) | Lawrenceburg, IN | Full-Time About ARI The Archaeological Research Institute (ARI) is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to making archaeology, history, and natural science accessible, relevant, and inspiring to communities throughout the Ohio River Valley. Through research, educational programming, and public engagement, ARI connects people to the region's rich cultural and environmental heritage. Position Summary The Director of Youth Programming is responsible for creating and delivering educational programs for youth ages 5-17, as well as developing curriculum materials for educators. This role ensures programs are engaging, educationally sound, and aligned with ARI's focus on archaeology in the Ohio River Valley. Why This Role Matters This role is foundational to helping young learners connect with the Archaeology of the Ohio River Valley and the related science and history it represents. It shapes educational experiences that inspire curiosity and long-term engagement with our region's rich history. Key Responsibilities Design and develop age-appropriate educational programs for youth audiences. Create curriculum materials and resources for teachers and educational partners. Review and adapt existing materials to ensure alignment with ARI's programming framework and subject focus. Plan and lead youth-focused programming, including workshops, educational events, and ARI's summer camp programs. Oversee content delivery to ensure engaging, high-quality learning experiences. Ensure all programming aligns with archaeological and scientific themes relevant to the Ohio River Valley. Evaluate program outcomes and continuously improve curriculum and delivery methods. Accountability Reports to the Vice President of Programming and is accountable for ensuring youth programming meets strategic objectives and educational standards.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
