Job Description

GRANT ADMINISTRATOR
The Grant Administrator is responsible for identifying, writing, managing, and administering grants while also serving as the College's liaison to governmental agencies and elected officials. This position will play a critical role in expanding institutional funding, promoting compliance, advancing legislative priorities, and ensuring the College remains well informed and engaged in public policy that impacts community colleges.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Bachelor's degree in public administration, communications, higher education, nonprofit management, or a related field. Master's degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in grant writing/administration and/or government relations desirable. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and organizational skills, a keen understanding of public policy and the ability to build strategic relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
LOCATION
: Iola, Kansas.
SALARY :
Salary commensurate with education and experience. 12 month position. Allen County, Kansas was founded in 1855, one of the 33 counties established by the first territorial legislature. Allen County's network of trails, features amazing diversity, including rails-to-trails, paved trails, gravel trails, dirt trails, mountain bike trails and fitness trails. The LeHigh Portland State Park will be opening in Allen County later this summer. It will offer camping, fishing, swimming and hiking and biking trails. The city of Iola is located at the US 54 Highway and US 169 Highway junction and it is less than two hours to several major metropolitan areas including Kansas City, Wichita, and Tulsa, OK. Iola is known for its rich community life and deep traditions created by its friendly residents and boasts the largest town square west of the Mississippi. The population is approximately 5,400. Iola offers the Bowlus Fine Arts center, multiple public parks with special needs equipment, large pool and park and beautiful bike and walking trails.
