Overview Join our dynamic team as an Affordable Housing Regional Manager, where you will lead the development, management, and oversight of affordable housing communities across multiple regions. This role is vital in ensuring that our properties operate efficiently, comply with all housing regulations, and deliver exceptional service to residents. You will drive strategic initiatives to maximize property performance, foster positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of property management excellence. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of multiple affordable housing properties, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), HUD, RD programs and Fair Housing laws. Manage property management teams by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategic plans for property leasing, tenant retention, and occupancy growth while maintaining budgetary discipline. Utilize property management tools such as AMSI, OneSite to track rent collections, lease management, maintenance requests, and financial reporting. Coordinate with legal teams on lease or rental agreement management, contracts, and conflict resolution to ensure legal compliance and smooth tenant relations. Facilitate landlord-tenant law adherence by conducting regular audits and staff training on legal administrative procedures. Lead efforts in facilities management and property maintenance to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained living environments for residents. Engage with clients through effective communication strategies; upsell additional services or amenities when appropriate to enhance resident satisfaction. Manage budgets meticulously, including forecasting expenses related to property maintenance, staffing, and operational costs. Foster positive relationships with community partners, government agencies (such as HUD), and vendors to support program compliance and community development initiatives. Experience Proven experience in property management within the affordable housing sector or real estate industry; experience with property management companies preferred. Strong knowledge of Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law. Demonstrated proficiency with property management software such as AMSI and Realpage and/or similar tools. Extensive administrative experience including data entry, filing systems, legal documentation handling, and office procedures. Excellent team management skills with a track record of leading diverse teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment. Superior customer service abilities paired with professional phone etiquette and client communication skills. Competence in negotiation, conflict management, contracts review, budgeting processes, and facilities management operations. Prior experience in sales or leasing within property management or real estate enhances success in this role.
