A Fiscal Director or Budget Director manages the budget and finance department of government agencies or cities. They manage the operations of the budget and finance department; including leading analysts and staff. They review and make recommendations on budget requests and options in terms of policy, programs and objectives for the agency or city while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and statutes. They are responsible for the accumulation of data to support the development of financial analysis and budgeting, including the preparation of quarterly, monthly and annual financial performance measures.

Job Summary/Basic Functions Under the broad direction of the Director of the
LSU-LCMC
Health Cancer Center, the Associate Director for Administration (ADA) acts as the chief administrative officer and is a member of the executive leadership team of the
LSU - LCMC
Health; incumbent will lead and oversee research administration, finance, and operations. The ADA will oversee a growing staff that encompasses all administrative aspects of the
LSU-LCMC
Health Cancer Center. As the strategic leader for NCI designation, the ADA advises all LSU and LCMC senior leaders to ensure that infrastructure and operations are aligned with NCI expectations for an NCI designated cancer center. The ADA will also lead, manage, draft, and submit the Cancer Center Support Grant submission. This position is responsible for building and maintaining an administrative infrastructure comparable to or superseding NCI designated cancer center administration teams across the U.S.
Minimum Qualifications Required Education:
Master's Required Field of Study:
Business Administration, Finance, Public Health, or other related field. Number of years required to perform the job: 10 Type of experience required to perform the job: A minimum of 10 years' relevant professional level experience, to include some experience in administration or project management
Substitution:
Master's degree in other fields may be considered with additional 3 years of relevant professional level experience. Bachelor's degree in business-oriented field may be considered with additional 2 years of relevant professional level experience.
