$31.21/
Hour Work Schedule:
Typical working hours for this position occur during the Court's regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST.
Benefits offered with this position:
After hire, pay increases are dependent on length of service, advancement in the position, and other contractual factors. This position is represented by the TPOAM union. Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the court administrator and deputy court administrator, performs a variety of highly responsible, confidential and complex administrative duties for the court administrator, deputy court administrator, judges; provides support for all divisions of the court in both simple and complex court matters; ability to make logical decisions, exercising appropriate judgment, based on knowledge of Court policies and procedures, court rules, and statutes, City policies and financial practices; provides varied, responsible and independent office administrative and secretarial assistance; records court proceedings as required; and, performs clerical support work as assigned.
Requirements:
Have no felony offense convictions; Pass a criminal background check and drug test; Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; Pass testing requirements to be a certified LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) operator within six (6) months of employment and recertify as applicable; Have a minimum of two (2) years office or clerical experience in an office or court environment; Possess considerable knowledge of court rules, regulations, policies and procedures; Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions; Be able to work independently and to set priorities to meet deadlines; Be able to work well in a team environment; Possess attention to detail and accuracy in work performance; Possess good organizational, filing, verbal and writing skills; Must attain State of Michigan certification as a Certified Electronic Operator (CEO) within first (1) year of employment and recertify as applicable; Have advanced knowledge of personal computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Polycom); Be able to interact firmly, calmly and impartially with attorneys, litigants, witnesses and the general public; Possess the ability to use sound judgment within established procedural guidelines.
Preferred Experience or Education :
Experience with cash handling and financial accounting. Experience working with court recording software. Experience working with JIS case management system.
