Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Debt Management- Facilitates the set up and maintenance of general ledger accounts for bond issues, lease purchase agreements, and other debt instruments.
- Makes debt service payments and prepares wire transfers and journal entries.
- Monitors investment earnings, expenditures, and transfers on trustee accounts.
- Monitors trustee account activities to ensure compliance with ordinances and indentures.
- Manages Airport trustee accounts by reviewing bond documents and verifying documentation account transactions to update accounts, on an as needed basis.
- Facilitates reconciliation of bank statements for all non-enterprise outstanding debt and reconciles airport accounts to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Financial Reporting/Other Projects and Duties
- Assists with preparation of the Cash Basis Annual report and the Annual Comprehensive Report of the City (ACFR).
- Assists with audit activity for the City, both internal and external.
- Prepares and updates monthly general fund cash flow report.
- Assists with review of workpapers of other Accountants in the Financial Reporting/Debt Management section.
- Performs end of year Gateway Transportation Center True Up.
- Prepares journal entries to record Green Help AmeriNat receipts and reconcile accounts.
- Reconciles fire insurance.
- Submits various filings at state and federal levels.
- As appointed, serves on various Selection Committees and assists, coordinates or manages (as needed/directed) various special projects related to operation of the Comptroller's Office.
- Serves as Comptroller's representative on select Selection Committees to help ensure fiscal responsibility, efficient procurement practices, compliance with MBE/WBE requirements, and adherence to
RFP / RFQ

Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field; plus four years of financial management experience.
