Associate Public Works Compliance Officer (DWS #23202) State of New Mexico - 3.4 Albuquerque, NM Job Details Full-time $19.97 - $29.95 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Posting Details This job is for the Department of Workforce Solutions Public Works/Labor Relations Division. Public Works enforces and administers both the Public Works Minimum Wage Act and the Public Works Apprenticeship and Training Act. Interviews will take place within 2 weeks of posting closing. Why does the job exist? The purpose of the Associate Public Works Compliance Officer position is to ensure that public works projects are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Employees apply basic compliance program analyses, and oversight, with local and state government agencies and contractors. Employees perform under supervision presentations and training for government agencies, contractors, and apprenticeship programs/local unions. How does it get done? The Associate Public Works Compliance Officer position ensures that public works projects are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations through performing basic audits, communicate through email, Microsoft teams, phone calls, and walk-ins, participate in training and development programs, maintaining spread sheets tracking the departments achievements, and maintaining data basis including PWAA and CyberSource . Who are the customers? The job is done for state and local government agencies, contractors, plaintiffs, and the general public. Ideal Candidate The job is done for state and local government agencies, contractors, plaintiffs, and the general public. Minimum Qualification High School Diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Working Conditions Work is mostly performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
