- Help create social media content for X and monitor social media for promotional/engagement opportunities
- Help write, proofread, and edit letters, documents, press releases, travel advisories, media advisories, and more
- Communicate with other organizations as directed
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and basic data entry
- Assist the public information officer in preparing presentation material for public, agency and industry events
- Responsibilities may include field work, photo gathering, internal/external communications
Skills Needed:
- An educational background in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Photography, Journalism, Public Affairs, Public Relations, or a related field
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and data manipulation
- Logical/critical thinking skills
- Quantitative analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
