Full-time Position:
Asst.Finance Director Job Summary:
The Asst. Finance Director is responsible for assisting the Finance Director with all aspects of the agency's financial operations including accurate tracking and reporting of financial transactions, maintaining an appropriate system of internal controls, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws and requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in coordinating all financial information for federal, state, local, and private grants and contracts
- Prepares invoices and reimbursement requests to send grantor and customers and records the corresponding accounts receivable transactions into the accounting system.
- Participates in the development of budgets for grant applications and contracts.
- Maintains accounting schedules for items such as fixed assets and prepaid expenses.
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial adjustments in accordance with GAAP and Uniform Guidance.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for grantors.
- Ensures fiscal compliance with federal law as well as grant guidance and requirements
- Prepares for the yearly single agency audit and all other program audits and works with the Finance Director and auditors to provide accurate and timely information
- Compiles and presents financial reports for the Finance Director, Executive Director, Board of Directors, Policy Council, and Program Directors, as requested
- In the absence of the Finance Director, reviews and uploads the agency's bi-weekly payroll.
- Attendance at Agency Leadership meetings may be required as assigned
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the
Finance Director Qualifications:
- CPA preferred; bachelor's degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field required
- Non-profit fiscal experience preferred; experience with Community Action Agency and Head Start finances preferred
- Experience with implementing and aligning federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200 and 45 CFR 75), Head Start Program Standards, the 2007 Head Start Act, U.S. GAAP, and State of Ohio Budget Guidance Requirements.
- Strong math, accounting, and computer skills including fund accounting and maintenance of an accounting software system
- Ability to understand and follow directions as well as to direct others clearly and effectively; Strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Pay Range :
$70,000 to $80,000 per year Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Pay:
