The Bios Vocational Lead Manager will ensure the growth of Bios as well as promoting quality services, provide the best administrative staff and employees that can be obtained, and promote the philosophies and values of Bios in the area of Vocational Services. The Vocational Lead Manager will be in charge of Marketing and Managing all new and pre-existing programs throughout the state of Oklahoma. You will also be in charge of building all new Vocational programs. You will be working out of our corporate office in Sapulpa.
Job Description:
Actively promote the philosophy of Bios with vocational division personnel and ensures the promotion of that same philosophy in their work with individuals with developmental disabilities; Monitor the progress of all Vocational Program Managers in their supervision of employees assigned to them, serve as a resource to all Residential Area Directors concerning Bios Vocational Services programs in their areas; Visiting all Vocational Programs in Sapulpa, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Bartlesville and Muskogee areas. Ensure excellent vocational staff knowledge of individuals, their programs and Bios and DDSD policy and procedure. Establishment of processes to assess this. Ensure 85% of all individuals served have evidence of meaningful days through work programs or activities, vocationally monitored day programs. Ensure positive revenues from the state vocational department. Regular participation in at least one community civic organization and at least one "field-related" organization, e.g. OKAPSE. Development of innovative approaches to providing great quality services in environment of decreased funding. Attend administrative meetings to keep abreast of Vocational Services needs and to ensure cooperation with other Bios departments; Assure that all applicable DDSD regulations are fulfilled to assure compliance with DDSD contracts. Ensure that all documentation, on individuals served, is kept up to all standards of contracts, DDSD, and Bios Policy and Procedures; Ensure that applicable financial records are current and up to date and division budget as required by the Corporate Officers are provided; Ensure Bios maintains a staff of qualified personnel that provides the best vocational services that can be provided. This includes ensuring the training and certification are current for all vocational employees in accordance with individuals' IP Oversee the vocational employee retention, and evaluation according to Bios Policy and Procedures of the Vocational Services Division personnel; Administrate and manage any other support functions that ultimately fall under the scope of the above named job description; Maintain rapport with the case managers and parents of the individuals that are being served through Bios Vocational Services Continue to market the Vocational Service program Ensure monthly presentations to area civic organizations for the purpose of marketing job placement services to communities servedRequirements:
Bachelors degree; and three years in a related field which includes supervisory experience and/or personnel management. Must have valid driver's license; must have cleared and approved criminal record check. Must have the ability to travel throughout the designated area.
