Job Description

The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness amongst our veterans. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness among our veterans. The Foundation is seeking an experienced Associate Program Director collaborate with and oversee the program staff serving Veterans who have experienced unsheltered homelessness and are now transitioning into permanent housing. The Associate Program Director will manage a small client caseload and provide coverage for other caseloads as needed. They will also welcome and assess potential program participants during the intake process. In conjunction with the Program Director, the Associate Program Director will support the onsite Case Management team by guiding them on mental health and substance abuse issues, crisis intervention, and handling consumer incidents in individual and group supervision meetings. They will also provide administrative supervision to Case Managers by monitoring and evaluating staff documentation (including service plans, UMRs, and case conferences) and facilitating audits and related reports. The Associate Program Director will be responsible for assisting the Program Director in expanding the team as required. In the absence of the Program Director, the Associate Program Director will cover related duties. Duties and responsibilities Coordinates case management activities, trains new Case Managers and supervises the work of other Case Managers. Collaborates with staff and leadership to conduct audits of Case Management work. Assists in hiring new staff. Manages a caseload and provides coverage for Case Managers as needed. Provides coverage for the Program Director as needed. Provides on-call crisis management to all staff members at the Harrisburg Veterans Village and communicates urgent issues to senior leadership as required. Ensures contractual requirements and client expectations are met at the residential facility. Ensures case managers establish and maintain consistent contact with each veteran on their caseload. Ensures the quality of Case Managers' work. Responsible for team building, training, coaching, staff appraisals, and performance measures in conjunction with the Program Director. Ensures assessments, screenings, and other documents are conducted on time and by the Foundation's policies and procedures. Promptly provides accurate weekly reports. Assists in the maintenance of the Case Management database. Ensure case managers comply with the Foundation's safety policy. Collaborates with external agencies to ensure comprehensive support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields from an accredited institution required. Master's degree and/or licensure in Social Work (from an accredited institution) highly desirable. Minimum 3 years' experience in supervisor capacity & in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields. Knowledge of electronic health records (AWARDS or similar) preferred. Ability to work with a diverse population. Experience working with veterans is preferred Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred. Must be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite (or equivalent) Pre-employment screenings; including but not limited to; background check & medical clearance. •Application Materials should include a resume. •Required to work on-site in Harrisburg, PA.
