Overview The DDD/IDD Program Director plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing programs designed for individuals with developmental disabilities. This leadership position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for those served. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a background in social work, and experience in program development and administration. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Manage daily operations, ensuring that services meet the needs of clients while adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements. Supervise staff, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance team performance and service quality. Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and community partners to promote collaboration and support. Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining program integrity. Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes. Maintain accurate administrative records and documentation related to program activities and client services. Stay informed about trends in behavioral health and developmental disabilities to inform program enhancements. Networking with Support Coordinators, families and other community organizations. Building relationships with community leaders and organizations Requirements Proven management experience in a relevant field, preferably within developmental disabilities or behavioral health settings. Strong background in program development and management, with a focus on delivering high-quality services. Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential. Excellent relationship management skills to effectively engage clients, families, staff, and community stakeholders. Administrative experience that includes budgeting and resource allocation responsibilities. Supervising experience that demonstrates the ability to lead teams effectively. A degree in social work or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications may be advantageous.
