Organizational Overview Charleston Promise Neighborhood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2010 for the purpose of serving communities surrounding Title 1 schools in "The Neck", a historically under-resourced area of Charleston County. Our mission is to "provide and facilitate comprehensive and services that support children, strengthen families, and mobilize residents to action." Its work focuses on school and community engagement and improvement, as well as their own leadership growth efforts. Director of Programs The Director of Programs is a senior leadership staff position responsible for the strategic development, growth, implementation, and evaluation of our program portfolio. In partnership with the CEO, the Director of Programs shapes the organization's overall program strategy and oversees the effective implementation of its programs and initiatives. The Director of Programs also collaborates with community and institutional partners to research, evaluate, and advance effective approaches to educational and community programming. The Director of Programs will have responsibility for all aspects of program activities to include: Partner with the CEO to develop and advance the organization's overall program strategy. Design, implement, direct, refine, and evaluate programs aligned with organization's mission and vision. Develop, maintain, and strengthen outreach strategies, alliances, and collaborative relationships with constituency-based organizations and local, state, and federal partners. Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies and methods that enhance program delivery and effectiveness. Expand partnerships that secure financial and in-kind resources to support and grow our organization's programs. Collaborate with the Development and Marketing Department to identify and develop grant proposals that support program implementation, expansion, and evaluation. Manage programmatic reporting for grants, including tracking progress toward required outcomes and preparing accurate and timely data, narratives, and updates for funders. Ensure that programs fulfill grant-related goals, deliverables, documentation, and reporting requirements. Serve as a liaison among Charleston Promise Neighborhood, its partner schools, "Neighborhood" residents, and nonprofit partners to support high-quality, coordinated program delivery. Develop content for our organization's educational materials, website, grant reports, and other publications in collaboration with the Development and Marketing Department. Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of program data to monitor performance, evaluate outcomes, demonstrate impact, and guide program strategy. Develop and maintain effective systems and processes for accurate, timely, and consistent program data collection and reporting. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience developing and managing education, health and wellness, and/or community engagement programs. Experience developing program evaluation frameworks and collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting program data. Knowledge of social and economic issues affecting children, youth, adults, older adults, and families in low-income, immigrant, and/or historically underserved communities. Demonstrated ability to develop complex, multilevel implementation plans and lead projects from launch through completion. Experience using databases, data-management systems, and statistical analysis tools. Experience managing government grants and contracts, including compliance, documentation, and programmatic reporting. Experience supervising and supporting program and administrative staff. Excellent organizational and project-management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate, prioritize, and negotiate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. A proactive, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset! Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Work Environment and Schedule This position operates within a hybrid work model and includes both office-based and remote work, as well as work in schools and community settings. Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position may require occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support program activities, meetings, community events, and other organizational needs.
