This role requires experience in affordable housing and resident services, with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Responsibilities Oversee, manage, and provide day-to-day leadership to Service Coordinators across Cortex Residential's affordable housing portfolio. Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate Service Coordinators to ensure consistent and effective delivery of resident services. Ensure Service Coordinators maintain regular engagement with residents and appropriately identify resident needs and connect residents with available community resources and supportive services. Develop and maintain relationships with local agencies, healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and other community partners. Oversee resident programs and initiatives focused on health and wellness, benefits access, food security, transportation, financial literacy, social engagement, aging in place, and other identified resident needs. Ensure Service Coordinators maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident interactions, referrals, programming, and outcomes. Ensure resident services and Service Coordination programs operate in accordance with applicable
HUD, PHFA, USDA
Rural Development, and other affordable housing program requirements. Coordinate with Property Management and Compliance teams to ensure resident services are appropriately integrated into the operations of each community. Assist with Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs), agency reviews, audits, and other regulatory matters related to resident services. Monitor Service Coordinator performance, caseloads, resident engagement, programming, and overall effectiveness across the portfolio. Conduct regular property visits to evaluate resident needs, Service Coordinator performance, and opportunities to expand or improve resident services. Identify and establish partnerships with community organizations and service providers to expand resources available to residents. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the delivery of resident services throughout the portfolio. Serve as the primary internal resource for Service Coordination and resident services across Cortex Residential. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in resident services, service coordination, social services, affordable housing, or a related field preferred. Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Experience with HUD, Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC, USDA Rural Development, or other affordable housing programs preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple employees and properties across a geographically dispersed portfolio. Strong knowledge of community resources and supportive services available to seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities. Ability to travel regularly throughout Cortex Residential's portfolio.
