We provide crucial resources, expert navigation, policy advocacy, and community programs designed to empower families and ensure access to essential services and supports. Position Summary The Family Services Program Manager is a key leadership and relationship-building role responsible for guiding and expanding WAA's direct family support programs, community outreach initiatives, and strategic partnerships. To excel as an Autism Navigator, candidates should possess a background in social work, psychology, special education, or a closely related discipline, coupled with a strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and available support systems. Essential qualifications often include certification in relevant autism training programs and proficiency with case management software and electronic health records. The role requires exceptional communication, advocacy, and problem-solving abilities, which are crucial for navigating resources and providing families with effective support. These skills are fundamental for connecting clients to specialized services and delivering personalized, highimpact guidance throughout the family's journey. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of family support programs, including the helpline, navigation services, and support groups. Provide expert advocacy and resource navigation for families, including healthcare, education, IEP, and 504 support. Develop and maintain service delivery processes, tracking systems, and outcome metrics to ensure program effectiveness and compliance. Ensure services are culturally responsive, accessible, and tailored to the diverse needs of families across Washington State. Design and implement outreach strategies to expand awareness and access to services among underserved communities. Represent the organization at community events, workshops, and resource fairs to promote programs and build community connections. Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, school districts, government agencies, and community organizations. Collaborate with the Development team by providing program data, success stories, and partnership support for grants and fundraising initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Non-profit Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably within a nonprofit, social service, or healthcare setting. Demonstrated experience providing direct support, navigation, or advocacy services to families facing complex systemic barriers (e.g., disability services, healthcare access, special education). Proven success in developing and managing community outreach strategies and cultivating strategic partnerships. Exceptional written, verbal, and public speaking communication skills. Strong organizational skills and proficiency with data tracking, CRM systems, and program evaluation methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant field. Direct personal or professional experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the systems of care in Washington State. Bilingual or multilingual skills, reflective of the communities WAA serves.
