Execute and process check runs for vendor, employee vendor, trust, juror, and Public Sector Collection and Disbursement payment types (OPS1, OPS2, Trust, Jury, and PSCD). Execute and process Automated Clearing House (ACH) runs for vendor, employee vendor, trust, and inter-bank transfer payment types (ACH1, ACH2, ACH3, D, L, M, N, U, V, and Zelle). Check research, reissue, and stale date. Assist Fiscal Services Coordinator with monthly and quarterly backup withholdings, annual system testing, and fiscal and calendar year-end activities. Execute and process Comprehensive Payment Solutions for ePayables (CPS2 - credit cards) and Paymode (CP1 - ACH). Generate and review payment proposals and check register. Generate and review payment proposals for ACH credit transactions and confirm ACH "Acknowledgement of File Receipt" email is received. Prepare Payment Advice(s) for mailing using mailroom equipment (e.g., folder/stuffer and postage machine). Process check (original or stale dated) reissue or reverse requests; confirm check status in Phoenix (SAP) and Bank of America CashPro. Review payment proposal and confirm receipt of payment file confirmation email is received and accurate. The Judicial Council offers hybrid work arrangements for many positions. The successful candidate will be expected to work in person at the Judicial Council's Sacramento office at least three days per week, based on their office leader's direction, and reside in the areas surrounding these locations. To be eligible for Judicial Council employment and participation in the Judicial Council's Hybrid Work Program, a prospective or current employee's primary residence/remote work location must be in the State of California and within a 150-mile driving radius of their assigned reporting location. The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Fiscal Services Specialist with the Branch Accounting and Procurement office. The Fiscal Services Specialist supports the 58 trial courts of California with payment processing for vendors and court employees, trust, jurors, check stale dating, payment reissuing, garnishments, backup withholding, Comprehensive Payment Solutions (CPS), Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, and payments requiring special handling. Additionally, this position processes stop payments, voids and returned check requests, completes check research, and processes emergency payments. This position also assists the Fiscal Services Coordinator with backup withholding payments, system testing and validation, and completing fiscal and calendar year-end activities. The Accounts Payable unit's primary responsibility is the daily monitoring, processing, and remittance of all invoice payments made through the Phoenix system. $5,614 - $7,858 per month Please note due to statewide fiscal conditions, the posted salary range is subject to a temporary 3% reduction. In exchange for this temporary reduction, judicial branch employees accrue an additional 5 hours of paid personal leave per month through June 30, 2027.
