Job Description
Government Affairs Coordinator (Hybrid - Pennsylvania) Are you passionate about public policy, advocacy, and senior care? Join the Pennsylvania Assisted Living Association (PALA) and help shape policies that impact assisted living and personal care communities across the Commonwealth. About the Role PALA is seeking a full-time Government Affairs Coordinator to support our legislative and regulatory initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with policymakers, industry leaders, and members to advance meaningful change in senior living. What You'll Do Monitor and analyze legislation impacting assisted living and personal care homes Represent PALA at the State Capitol, including hearings and meetings with lawmakers Coordinate advocacy efforts and engage members in grassroots campaigns Build relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders Develop advocacy materials including policy briefs, testimony, and social media content Support PAC fundraising efforts and public policy communications Help plan and facilitate webinars and training programs for members Provide logistical support for PALA conferences, meetings, and events, including travel within Pennsylvania and occasional overnight stays What We're Looking For Minimum of 3 years of experience in senior living, advocacy, government relations, public policy, or regulatory compliance Knowledge of Pennsylvania legislative or regulatory processes preferred Strong communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities Why Join PALA?
