Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract A dynamic leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Specialty Pharmacy Manager to lead and expand a growing specialty pharmacy operation in Central and Upstate New York. This role begins with a hybrid remote work arrangement based in Oneonta, NY, providing flexibility as the company builds and licenses a new specialty pharmacy location in Utica, NY. Once operational, the position transitions to a full onsite role at the new Utica facility.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing Specialty pharmacy experience (required) Pharmacy leadership or management background Comfortable starting with hybrid remote work and transitioning to onsite Strong operational and team leadership abilities Knowledge of specialty pharmacy accreditation standards (URAC, ACHC preferred) Experience with prior authorizations and specialty medications preferred Excellent communication skills with patients, providers, and team members Experience in specialty disease states such as oncology, HIV, infusion therapies, or rare diseases is a plus
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the specialty pharmacy to ensure compliance and excellence in patient care Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative team environment Manage specialty medication distribution and prior authorization processes Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes in specialty disease management This position offers a progressive career path in specialty pharmacy management with the opportunity to influence the development of a cutting-edge pharmacy facility.
