Job Description

About the Role The Public Housing Manager serves as the primary contact for the Easley Housing Authority (EHA), managing the full scope of property operations including leasing, rent collection, unit inspections, tenant relations, and compliance with HUD and agency regulations. This is a key, front-facing role requiring someone who is organized, responsive, and compassionate—with the ability to manage both administrative tasks and people-centered responsibilities effectively. Key Responsibilities Lease vacant units and maintain high occupancy rates Conduct move-in/move-out processes and orientations Collect rent and manage delinquent accounts Respond to resident inquiries and coordinate maintenance requests Maintain accurate resident files and HUD documentation Perform inspections and ensure compliance with housing regulations Support and counsel residents while enforcing lease terms Represent the agency in court cases related to lease enforcement Prepare incident reports and track community service requirements Maintain neat and organized office operations Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Able to prioritize tasks independently while maintaining accuracy Customer service-oriented with professionalism and discretion Knowledge of modern office practices and fair housing standards Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs Requires moderate stamina and mobility May involve light outdoor work and walking Why Join Us?
