Job Title:
Administrative Functional Support Location(s): Abilene, TX Position Overview Responsible for performing day-to-day administrative and functional operations within an assigned business area. The role involves maintaining records, entering and managing data, preparing routine reports, supporting business processes, and using standard office and specialized software applications. The position may support functions such as Administration, Customer Service, EHS, R D, Marketing, IT, Sales, Legal, Project Management, HR, or Finance. Key Responsibilities Perform routine administrative and functional activities within the assigned area. Enter, update, and maintain information in computer systems and specialized applications. Prepare routine reports, correspondence, statistics, and other documentation. Maintain organized records and filing systems. Support administration of programs, projects, and business processes. Follow established procedures, work instructions, and standardized processes. Use standard office software and specialized business applications. Handle routine and non-complex inquiries from internal or external customers. Gather and document information received during routine customer interactions. Provide basic first-level support for customer inquiries by following established procedures. Make appropriate decisions from clearly defined options and escalate unusual situations when necessary. Support multiple assigned processes and routine activities effectively. Required Qualifications 2-year vocational/technical training or equivalent education. Up to 1 year of relevant work experience. Basic knowledge of principles, procedures, and work routines within the applicable functional area. Basic practical knowledge of relevant processes, techniques, and systems. Ability to work with standardized software applications and user interfaces. Ability to follow established procedures and instructions. Strong data-entry, recordkeeping, and administrative skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle routine customer inquiries professionally. Customer Service Responsibilities For customer-service-oriented assignments, responsibilities may include: Handling inbound calls and providing basic first-level support using established procedures. Resolving routine requests within defined guidelines. Making outbound calls using structured information and scripts when required. Gathering, documenting, and filing information obtained during customer interactions. Escalating requests that fall outside established procedures or require additional authorization. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently follow established processes.
