Job Description
CPLC's Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs are committed to giving every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, an opportunity to succeed in school and life. Provides full-day, full-year early childhood development services to low income children, ages 0-3 years, and their families in educationally-stimulating learning environments.
OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Program Director oversees and manages all Early Childhood Development including Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Programs located within the region. Works closely with Content Area Coordinators and Specialists to ensure program sites are operating within the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) and CPLC policies and procedures and to support children and families. Promotes school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success as it relates to this position. Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments. Maintains all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment. Facilitates health practices to keep children safe in the school bus, outdoor and indoor environments.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Program Director position directly supervises:- Center Service Manager
- Child Care Partnership Service Manager (where applicable)
- Regional Office Manager The position indirectly oversees all program staff who report to the hiring managers within the region through a multi-level system and includes staff hires, evaluation, professional development, disciplinary action and employee discharges.
