Do you have experience or an interest in working for a law enforcement or public safety agency? Are you comfortable being the first person a customer sees when they enter an office? The Prince William County Sheriff's Office is seeking a qualified candidate who is fluent in Spanish to fill the full-time position of Administrative Specialist in support of the Operations Division. This position entails working at the front office handling various tasks, including but not limited to, answering phones; filing records; data entry; maintaining databases; composing correspondence; processing paperwork and providing administrative support to our uniformed civil process staff.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
: In this position, you will report directly to the Supervisor for the Civil Process Support section. As an Administrative Specialist, you will be interacting with personnel at all levels and providing daily service to the public in a professional and efficient manner. This role also involves direct interaction with English and Spanish speaking customers. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills, able to follow directions correctly, and able to successfully work independently and in a team environment. Being reliable, patient, collaborative, and flexible are key qualities to have in this position. This position will require you to attend and successfully complete coursework to become a Notary Public for the office. For more information, If you are interested, apply now! PREFERENCES
: Knowledge in Soft Code and/or Axon Systems Experience in a law enforcement and/or public safety environment Computer savvy in Microsoft Office Suite programs
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and two (2) years of related experience providing administrative support.
HIRING RANGE
: Entry hourly rate range is $25.44 - $36.98. This equates to an entry salary range of $52,915.20 - $76,918.40.
FLSA :
Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE
: Monday - Friday (40 hours a week).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
: The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment background check and is subject to the following: criminal and credit history check, education and driver license verification check, fingerprinting, and a polygraph examination.
