Public Works Crew Member

The Village of Egg Harbor is seeking a motivated, reliable, and community-focused individual to join our Public Works Department. This position plays a key role in maintaining the Village's infrastructure, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. About the Position The Public Works Employee performs a wide range of duties related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of Village streets, parks, buildings, utilities, and public facilities. Work includes both independent tasks and collaborative projects with other staff members. Seasonal responsibilities such as snow removal are essential components of the position. Rotating work schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and improve Village streets, sidewalks, storm sewers, and public spaces.
• Perform landscaping, groundskeeping, tree/brush trimming, and park maintenance.
• Operate equipment such as loaders, trucks, mowers, tractors, and other public works machinery.
• Provide snow and ice removal during winter months, including after-hours response when required.
• Support Village events with setup, teardown, and logistical needs.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Public Works operations. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in public works, landscaping, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate public works equipment safely.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license required.
• Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to respond to emergency or after-hours situations as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Participation in a weekly on call rotation.
