In this pivotal role, you will oversee the strategic development, implementation, and management of the program dedicated to engaging older adults in meaningful community service. Your leadership will foster strong relationships with community partners, volunteers, and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by empowering seniors to serve and support underserved communities through innovative social service initiatives. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and passionate about social work, disability advocacy, and community engagement. Responsibilities Lead the overall planning, coordination, and administration of the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and federal guidelines. Develop and implement program strategies that expand volunteer engagement among diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, government agencies, service providers, and stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness. Supervise program staff and volunteers by providing leadership in social services administration, staff supervision, team management, and professional development. Oversee program compliance with AmeriCorps regulations, federal grant requirements, and organizational policies while managing budgets effectively. Facilitate training sessions for staff and volunteers on topics such as social services delivery, client communication, behavioral health support, disability awareness, and cultural competence. Monitor program performance through data collection, reporting metrics, writing detailed reports, and evaluating outcomes to ensure continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general within social service or community programs. Strong relationship management skills to foster partnerships across underserved communities and build collaborative networks. Demonstrated administrative experience including budgeting, compliance oversight, program development, and staff supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing, data analysis, and presentations. Technical project management experience supervising social service programs or community initiatives from inception to completion. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve diverse populations; fluency in additional languages is a plus. Leadership experience in social services administration with a focus on team management and staff supervision in behavioral health or related fields. Excellent written communication skills for report writing, client correspondence, grant applications, and policy documentation. Knowledge of social work principles combined with experience working with underserved communities to promote inclusive service delivery.
