GED Full Job Description Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the sales and purchasing teams in servicing customers and all other administrative duties as necessary
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales and Purchasing Perform various Shipping and Receiving duties. Assist with allocations of product to customer orders. Handle outbound FedEx processing. Help customers with their questions and purchases. Assist in the receiving process. Input data into the computer. §Ensure accuracy of all purchase orders. Vendor and customer credits. Assist with inputting data from requisitions into purchase orders. Confirm with vendors the status of shipment. Help ensure all orders are completed and submitted in a timely manner. Contact local suppliers about product shortages. Assist sales representatives in all areas of operations, including order entry, allocation, and follow-up. Oversee and ensure accurate and timely execution of deliveries (Uber and other carriers) . Communicate with customers, vendors and drivers to confirm delivery times and resolve any logistical issues. Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and customer interactions. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper product handling and on-time delivery. Accounting Department Support Assist the accounting department by collecting and organizing paperwork. Assist in preparing and sending paperwork via interoffice mail. Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Functions /
Competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. Good communication and customer service skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Computer skills and knowledge of software applications. Answer incoming phone calls and operate office machines, including cash register. Detail oriented, strong data entry, and organized. Able to work in a team environment. Work Environment • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift to 25 lbs. as needed. Able to withstand moderate changes in temperatures, will be required to perform regular activities in floral cooler at (38 degree). Able to climb stairs and walk on uneven ground. Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Required Education, Skills and Experience • High School Diploma or GED; two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
