We have spent over 40 years advocating for and creating a health home for the many that have been denied access to care. As health care activists, we are dedicated to making sure individuals who do not have health coverage get the same level of quality healthcare as those who have it As a Materials Specialist I you will be working in all of the Materials Management functions which include the mailroom, stockroom and purchasing. Your core responsibilities will include reviewing incoming materials requests; maintain filing systems for internal requests and vendor transactions, and pulling items from stockroom while ensuring proper inventory levels. You will be able to use your passion for technology by creating or inputting purchase orders on the purchasing computer system, maintaining an accurate inventory and running reports through the purchasing computer system. You will have an opportunity to use your excellent communication and customer service skills by answering phones and providing answers or redirecting calls to the appropriate person. Your organization and time management skills, efficiency, attention to detail will ensure that you can make a positive contribution in our fast paced environment. Ultimately, success in this role will require a high degree of interpersonal competence, which includes building effective relationships with all team members. Required Skills:
High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge of Microsoft Office:
Outlook, Word and Excel Knowledge of office, medical and dental supplies preferred Accurate spelling, grammar and basic arithmetic Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day Valid California driver's license and good driving record required Ability to work across cultures and demonstrate support of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a clerical setting. Experience in a Materials Management/Purchasing department is ideal. Experience with
